Brief Statement

This body of work is being developed as a part of my senior thesis this year. It began as a body of work based on the idea of a feminine image strongly influenced by 20th century pin-up girl images.
Pin-up artists that I love:

Alberto Vargas
Gil Elvgren
George Petty
Olivia de Berardinis
Peter Driben
Art Frahm
Carlos Cartagena
The "Girls Club": Joyce Ballantyne, Pearl Frush, and Zoe Mozert

The pair of images at the top are two small acrylic paintings on paper - both in-progress and far from finished. Both paintings are supposed to simultaneously represent David and Judith.

  1. This. It took me two browse-throughs for this to catch my attention (considering everything else that's going on in your work I think that's not a testament to whether or not this is good and has everything to do with my ADHD) and it's blowing my mind. I'd like to see these when they're finished! Totally badass :)
